Another Rice and Dessert Day Plus Language School
Down by the Walmart here there is this cool ice-cream place called Cold Stone. Everyone i know goes there for sweet treats. Went there during the latest off day, with Yiru and Wenting.
Someone's car, our random shot.Ok it's 1 month 14 days to end of work and slightly less than 2 months to go home. Time flies eh.
And i still miss my SINGAPORE food. Nabei.
Oh and during work we had some spanish and chinese lessons, shall share a few cool phrases. Espanol teacher is Wilson Mahecha, my friend from Colombia and of cos the chinese teachers are me and jason.
"Hola Amigo" is "hello friend". Something that sounds like "Quibo Marica" is also hello friend or something like that. Apparently to be used between close friends. Tried that out on Daniela (a girl from Ecuador) and she was amused. BECAUSE it means Hello Bitch. No wonder she raised eyebrows and said "Who taught you that?!"
The chinese curse using the phrase "shabi". Heard my roomie say that when he was watching NBA (his team was losing apparently). No PRC wanna tell me what the hell it means, just that it is really bad language. shabishabi, sounds so cute eh the phrase (to singaporean ears, la!). So me and jason started to teach Wilson and Daniela. Then they started greeting all and sundry in the shop with "shabi", to the chagrin of this chinese colleague, Kathy. Apparently girls are not suppose to spout such rough language. And if you curse some chinese with shabi you can get beaten up. Never hurt to learn new foul language. Curse to the occasion.
Trala.
We learn new things everyday.
