The hallowed space of the Lit Honours room
has great bearing on intelligence.
Where vodka flows and cards are played, it is
here we ply our inebriated diligence.
(photos credits to nadia, and some to my phone named "the long one")

Round after round of heart attack
Hands red and throbbing from the slap.
After which we drink of the booze
And the poets laid back
to take their snooze.
Even when essays above us loom
Not to worry, happiness rules,
with booze and snooze.
Here in the lit honours room.

New Semester, I Wanna THROW THINGS AWAY

So Ghetto, It's Fun.
Well, couple of us pooh-poohed the idea of long haul trips to god-knows-where places, like Europe. It is really because we are poor, but that is beside the matter. Everyone knows the A1 gang likes to hop out to holiday destinations that are a little "different" from the mainstream. Dear A1 folks, we may have upped the ante again and broken the record. Nothing beats this kelong stuck in the South China Sea near Sibu. So ghetto, it's fun.
So the trip starts at a dark and early, not to mention UNHOLY, timing of 6am, at Tampines MRT for most of us. I couldn't even wake up for real until hours later.

It was a dark and stormy day when we arrived at that jetty. It was just like the one at tioman. Crowded into a small bumboat, I had the vision of being Ah Shui, coming to Nanyang via chinese junk.

Not that we are very far from the truth anyhow. Introducing... THE KELONG, our resort for the next 3d2n...

飘洋过海,我吃得起苦。相信天无绝人之路。。。

The KTVing was surprisingly good by the way, better than the Harris Fiasco... And the fishing is ok. We caught some twenty plus Kunings... Enough for a nice fish fry...

From 9am to around 6pm there is no electricity, so sleeping, playing chess, eating, fishing or just plain crapping around became the staples to do over at the kelong.

On the second day we went island hopping. Some beach on a nearby island with big waves. The usual romping around, playing with water and sand gig.

Yea so it came to pass, that we lived 3days and 2 nights on a kelong, with freshwater (rain-water) for bathing and cleaning, holey (hole to the sea) toilets and minimal amenities. The quaintness of it is so refreshing; so ghetto it's fun.
