Was reading Danesi's pop culture textbook (in time for the paper at 1pm), and thinking about the intricacies of pop language.

Did you know (as George Bernard Shaw points out) that "fish" can be spelt as "ghoti"?

That is because gh can be pronounced as f as in enough, o is the same as i as in women, and ti for sh as in nation.

Hmmm...
