how does a chicken talk to a duck?

That day over dinner, Flower was trying to illustrate some concept of miscommunication within "her" bank. She used the expression:

"好像鸡跟鸭讲话。“

That expression sorta got stuck in my brain.

So few minutes ago i was reading some essay on the concept of Mother Tongue and how it is a language that transcends "perfect" English and bridges generations...

Then Flower popped online. So somehow the idea of how "bridging" language barriers got messed up with the chicken and duck expression.

And SUDDENLY it occurred to me and i came up with my very own cold joke...

"鸡怎样跟鸭讲话？"

...

(it may be not be that good, but since Flower says it's lame...)

“讲鸟话 lor"
